聽歌學英文

整個歌詞就是從「期待甜美愛情的到來」描繪至「終於預見白馬王子」的心情，各段中的miracle、you、angel、rain、boy都是指心目中的lover啦~

其實我並不太喜歡最後一段的描述~沒有愛情，人生就很黑暗、痛苦、脆弱。我覺得除了愛情，明明就有很多事情可以讓生活過得多采多姿啊~說穿了這個歌詞是 “思春詞”吧？！XD (開玩笑) 突然想到米小鹹某位好朋友~哈哈~

若單獨看第一段還滿勵志的。米小鹹在這裡以第一段歌詞祝福大家，在這個薪水低物價高常被老闆當低廉勞工的年代，大家一定要堅信奇蹟會出現，勇敢地活著啊！

 hold on 也可以用在叫別人等一下時，等於wait a second, hold on a second等等。

Through the darkness and good times
越過黑暗和美好時光

I knew I'd make it through
我知道我可以撐過這一切

And the world thought I had it all
全世界的人以為我擁有了一切

But I was waiting for you
但我是在等你

 through前應有動詞被省略，可以是walking through或going through之類的。

Hush, now
噓，現在先別作聲

我看見空中的一道曙光

Oh, it's almost blinding me
喔，它幾乎使我睜不開雙眼

I can't believe I've been touched by an angel with love
我不敢相信天使用愛感動了我

 hush [hʌʃ] :

1. (vt.) 使安靜、沉默/ (vi.) 安靜、沉默 (If you hush someone or if they hush, they stop speaking or making a noise.)

EX. She tried to hush her noisy father. 她試著讓她那很吵的父親安靜。

EX. The students hushed when their teacher came in. 當老師進來時學生們便安靜下來了。

2. (n.) 安靜 (= silence) (You say there is a hush in a place when everything is quiet and peaceful, or suddenly becomes quiet.)

EX. A hush fell over the crowd and I knew something terrible had happened. 大家一陣沉默，我知道有可怕的事發生了。

3. 噓! (You say `Hush!' to someone when you are asking or telling them to be quiet.)

Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
讓甘雨降下並沖走我的淚水

Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
讓它充滿我的心靈並淹沒我的恐懼

Let it shatter the walls for a new sun
讓它沖毀城牆以迎接嶄新的陽光

一個嶄新的日子已經到來

 drown  [draʊn] :

1. (vt)使...溺死/ (vi.) 溺死 (When someone drowns or is drowned, they die because they have gone or been pushed under water and cannot breathe.)

EX. Last night a boy was drowned in the river. 昨晚一個男孩在河裡溺死。

EX. A child can drown in only a few inches of water. 小孩是可能在只有幾英吋深的水中溺死的。

2. (vi) (vt) 淹沒 (比喻) (If you say that a person or thing is drowning in something, you are emphasizing that they have a very large amount of it, or are completely covered in it.)

EX. He finds himself drowning in debt. 他發現自己欠一屁股債。

EX. The potatoes were drowned in chilli. 番茄被辣椒淹沒了。(P.S. Chillies are small red or green peppers. They have a very hot taste and are used in cooking.)

3. (vt.) 淹沒(比喻)，某聲音壓過另一個聲音 (If something drowns a sound, it is so loud that you cannot hear that sound properly.)

EX. Clapping drowned the speaker's words for a moment. 掌聲一度壓過演講者聲音。

Where it was dark now there's light
以前黑暗的地方，現在有了曙光

Where there was pain now there's joy
以前曾有過痛苦，現在有了歡樂

Where there was weakness, I found my strength
以前曾經脆弱，但我找到了力量

All in the eyes of a boy
在一個男人的眼神中

 用類似的句型舉幾個例子:

1. Where there is a will, there is a way. 有志者，事竟成。

2. Where there is life, there is hope. 留得青山在，不怕沒柴燒。

3. Where there is smoke, there is fire. 事出必有因（無風不起浪)。

 boy除了有"男孩"和"兒子"的意思外，口語中也有"年輕男人"的意思。另外，美國口語中也會用"boy!"來表示驚訝和興奮的情緒，例如 "Oh Boy! Just think what I could tell him."。
